Grathel Mutau

Grathel is a Chartered Accountant and also holds Master of Philosophy Degree in Development Finance from Stellenbosch University. She serves as CEO of Mmoni Advisory Services, a credit committee member of the First Rand Bank’s Financial Institutions Credit Committee and the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC)’s Special Credit Committee. She also serves as a Non-Executive Director of various JSE listed companies.
Her previous roles include an Audit Partner at KPMG, at the National Treasury’s Asset and Liability Management where she advised on the management of State Owned Companies including Telkom, Eskom and PetroSA, at the IDC, she was instrumental in funding Small Medium Enterprises and also served as Chief Financial Officer of Blue IQ.
Grathel serves as a board member of both St Anne’s Diocesan College in Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal and Africa Leadership Initiative, South Africa (ALI SA). She is a fellow of ALI SA, Aspen Global Leadership Network, and member of both the African Women Chartered Accountants Forum and the International Women’s Forum.

An avid runner, Grathel has completed 8 Comrades Marathons races (89km), New York, Boston, London and Berlin Marathons and many several local marathons and ultra-marathons. Grathel is married with 2 young adult children.
