Tsitsi Musasike

Tsitsi Musasike is a Principal Deal Originator, primarily for energy, environmental and ICT
projects, at the Development Bank of Southern Africa. Her focus is to build meaningful
partnerships with project sponsors, developers, governments, financiers, other DFIs and
communities in order to grow the Bank’s business on the African continent.
Tsitsi has extensive project finance, PPP and financial management experience spanning
development finance, investment banking, private equity and consulting environments. More
recently, Tsitsi has led project teams on a number of infrastructure transactions including two
independent peaking power projects and several IPP projects under the South African
Government’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme
(REIPPPP). She is also supporting several project developers on gas-to-power IPP programmes
and the development of innovative clean energy initiatives on the African continent.
Tsitsi holds a BAcc(Hons) degree, an MBA from Warwick Business School and is an Associate
member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She has a special interest in
sustainability and empowering other women.
Outside of work, Tsitsi enjoys gardening, reading and writing. Tsitsi is the author of
Moneynomics: The Art and Science of Creating Wealth. She recently collaborated with the
University of Boston on a publication on the role of SADC DFIs in expanding renewable energy
access and development.
